Southampton has a well established reputation for its outstanding research and degree courses in Ocean and Earth Science. We are also known for our relaxed, friendly and informal atmosphere, which affords students a stimulating environment in which to learn and acquire essential scientific and key work skills.
Our Marine Life Talks are are a series of monthly lectures on marine conservation topics. They are held on the first Thursday of every month throughout the year at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS).
Designed to appeal to the general public as well as students and specialists, they are mainly presented by our own lecturers and researchers, or by speakers from regional organisations such as the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
The talks cover a wide range of marine-related topics and are a great way to learn more about this fascinating subject.
Admission is free, and all are welcome.
