Actuary for Legal and General

Hi, I'm Steven Sooboodoo and I studied BSc Mathematics with Actuarial Science within Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Everyone is so friendly and it’s a good atmosphere to learn in, great quality teaching and I've met a lot of close friends here so definitely an experience to remember.

Steven graduated with a 2.1 in Mathematics and Actuarial Science.

What have you enjoyed about studying in Southampton?

The general feel, everyone is so friendly and it’s a nice, good atmosphere to learn in, great quality teaching and I've met a lot of close friends here so definitely an experience to remember.

Have you been involved in any clubs or societies?

I’m part of the Actuarial Society which has been good. I play football for the Actuarial team; there are a lot of opportunities to get involved with all these different societies.

What are your plans for the future?

I’ve got a job in September working as an Actuary for Legal and General, in the life insurance department so I’m looking forward to that.
