Research interests

I am interested in black holes, their classical and quantum properties and their holographic properties. Recently, I focussed my research on the study of the dynamics of black holes/branes and of their stability properties, using perturbative methods that link the study of horizon dynamics to the dynamics of effective fluids. The goal of this research is to obtain a better understanding of the gravity/fluid correspondence and of holography for general gravitational theories.

Other research interests include quantum field theory in curved spacetimes, classification of supersymmetric solutions to supergravity theories, the problem of chronology protection, and black holes with nonminimally coupled scalar fields.
