Dr Rodrigo Panosso Macedo PhD
STFC Research Fellow

I graduated at the Federal University of São Carlos (Brazil), where I received both the Bachelor and Licentiate degrees in Physics. Then, I joined the Fast Track PhD programme at the University of São Paulo-Brazil. The final phase of my PhD research was developed at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Germany) with support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
My first post-doc was at the University of Jena (Germany). In an early stage (2011-2014), I was part of the Transregional Collaborative Research Centre (SFB/TR7): Gravitational Wave Astronomy. In a second period (2015-2017), I obtained a fellowship from Brazilian programme “Science without Borders”.
Between 2017-2021 I was a post-doctoral research assistant in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the Queen Mary University of London-UK. I have also visited the Institut de Mathématiques de Bourgone-France and the Centre for Astrophysics and Gravitation-Portugal.
