Research interests

Dr Xiaoyi Xie is interested in adopting numerical methods in the study of relativistic astrophysics, in particular the systems that relate to the generation of relativistic jets. My previous work includes numerical simulations of ultra-relativistic jets from binary neutron star mergers and collapsars; modelling the dynamics of particles immersed in fluctuating fluid; jamming transition of amorphous materials etc
