Mathematics part of EU grant success
The University of Southampton has been awarded 700,000 Euros as part of a consortium of 11 European partners making up the ROBUST (Risk and Opportunity management of huge-scale BUSiness communiTy cooperation). In total the project which will receive a total of 11m Euros in EU Seventh Framework Programme funding.
As part of this project mathematicians lead by Professor Jorg Fliege will develop novel mathematical tools that will be used for automated risk management for assessing, tracking and controlling behaviours of individuals and groups in online social network communities based on real time event observation, risk pattern analysis and decision making.
