Lattice induced phase transitions from holography Seminar

Abstract:
In recent years, AdS/CFT has been used to study strongly interacting condensed matter systems. In this context, holographic lattices have been employed to reproduce the well understood Drude peak physics observed in optical conductivity measurements. I will discuss new phenomena rising from the fact that in certain cases such a lattice can have a dramatic impact on the low energy physics of the dual field theory.
