Dehn's Problems and Houghton's groups Seminar

Dehn's problems were one of the first to give an undecidability result outside of set theory or logic. We shall introduce these and solve The Word Problem (and possibly the Conjugacy Problem) for Houghton's groups. These include a family of finitely presented groups which each contain the infinite symmetric group.
