Topology Seminar
A-infinity algebras arise from considering associativity up to homotopy. These algebraic structures are present in numerous areas of mathematics. More recently, the notion of a derived A-infinity algebra arose in the work of Sagave as a natural generalisation of the classical A-infinity algebra. I will give an introduction to this idea, with some motivation and then explain a conceptual way to understand this structure using operads. This is joint work with Livernet and Roitzheim.
