K-theory for p-adic Banach algebras Seminar

This talk involves joint work with Jayanta Manoharmayum. In it, I introduce the notion of K-theory groups for p-adic Banach algebras, and nonarchimedean Banach algebras in general, that takes the topological structure of these algebras into account. I hope to describe the properties of this new K-theory, give some examples, and hint at applications in number theory. I will not assume any familiarity with nonarchimedean or p-adic arithmetic.
