Event details

We are going to make a trip back to the beginning of the study of strongly coupled gauge systems. We will see why and how QCD was conceived what is the relation between such systems and String Theory, as well as death of String Theory and its rebirth. The main question that we will address and try to answer is why we are moving towards a mathematically complicated and abstract description (holography) in order to understand better strongly coupled gauge systems.
