Event details
We would like to understand the large-scale geometry of 2-dimensional Artin groups. The talk has two parts. In the first part, we show 2-dimensional Artin groups are non-positively curved in an appropriate sense. In the second part, we show that certain "0-curvature chunks" of the group has a very specific structure, which leads to rigidity results. No previous knowledge about Artin groups is required. This is joint work with D. Osajda.
