Abstract: In this talk we consider torus actions on moment-angle complexes and calculate the cohomology of their quotient spaces. From the Taylor resolution, a differential graded algebra is obtained with homology isomorphic to the cohomology of quotient spaces. In the case of circle actions on moment-angle complexes, we relate the homology groups of this DGA to weighted homology groups of a filtration of simplicial complexes.
