Also known as C2, Z/2Z or pi1(RP2). As a geometric group theorist, I have often taunted finite group theorists with phrases suchs as "all finite groups are virtually trivial", yet when finite groups appeared in my research, I quickly learned to respect them. After setting up the motivation for my study of these groups, we'll learn that there is more than meets the eye to these 'small' groups, through some represenataion theory and combinatorics (maybe even some number theory!). We might also get onto torsion in linear groups.
