Hi, I'm Ashanti De Silva and I studied MSc Operational Research within Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

The content itself is very interesting and there is always a lecturer or supervisor willing to give you a helping hand.

I chose to undertake my studies with the University of Southampton not only because it is a reputable university but also because of the location and the campus. I wanted to go to a university that wasn't too far away from home in London but was far enough, and thought Southampton fitted this perfectly. The campus itself is also very scenic and Southampton city is a vibrant city.

Lecturers and academic supervisors have always been very useful whenever I have asked for assistance from them. Provided you book an appointment with them they are willing to help with any queries you have regarding coursework or past paper examination questions.

I would definitely recommend the University to other people. I have met people from all over the world and all over the country and had I not gone to university I probably would never have been able to experience this. I recommend the course as the content itself is very interesting and there is always a lecturer or supervisor willing to give you a helping hand if you are struggling with your work.

After I graduate I would like to go into the finance sector and complete an Accountancy qualification. However, before I join the working world I would like to go travelling around the globe and explore other cultures.
