PhD

Modelling of Buruli Ulcer disease formation

In this project, I investigate a partial differential equation model that describes how mycolactone causes skin ulcers by considering the densities of skin cells and bacteria in a patch of skin and how they respond to the presence of mycolactone. In the end, this research should help us better understand Buruli Ulcer hence enhancing treatment and prevention of the disease.
