Mr. Filip Landgren is a PhD Candidate in the String Theory and Holography Group.
My research focuses on various aspects of quantum gravity, mostly inspired by string theory and the AdS/CFT correspondence in the context of the information paradox. Understanding this paradox is an important stepping stone to obtain a complete theory of quantum gravity as black holes serves as a testing ground to study the microscopic effects of spacetime.
Furthermore, explicit realisations of holography in the context of
spacetimes with timelike boundaries have been studied
extensively over the last twenty years, but the reconstruction of
spacetime in the context of null and spacelike boundaries is
much more poorly understood. I am developing a holographic reconstruction of spacetime, using recent developments involving simplicial complexes, islands, quantum error correction and asymptotic symmetry groups.
