Matthew Staniforth is a second year PhD student in the Pure Mathematics group at the University of Southampton, working in the field of toric topology under the supervision of Professor Jelena Grbić.

He currently organises the monthly Maths and Mingle seminar in the Mathematical Sciences department. For questions regarding Maths and Mingle, he can be contacted directly at the email address listed above.

On 21st May 2019 he gave a talk, alongside presentations from Professor Jacek Brodzki and Dr Andy O'Bannon, as part of the Global Pint of Science festival.
