The British Healthcare Trade Association is delighted to offer an opportunity to hear some of the most influential international speakers on Tissue Viability this Autumn. Be part of this event to hear updates on the most recent research into shear, microclimate, sensors and materials relating to support surfaces and seating. Fresh from the most recent ISO standards meeting in London, Professor Dan Bader from Southampton University will be chairing this Symposium that will highlight current thinking that will shape the future of pressure care.

What to Expect:

  • The latest on Microclimate and Shear. What new research is taking place and what’s taking shape for the future? Are you up to speed with the new science?
  • Susannah Coleman will speak about the findings of the Pressure 2 research, being one of the largest  trials conducted comparing the effectiveness of high specification foam and alternating pressure mattresses in pressure ulcer prevention.
  • Performance effectiveness, are you monitoring and ensuring you have clinical evaluation to back up your data entries and products? Are you holding those necessary papers required?
  • There will also be an update on the new International Standards work being carried out by the ISO Working Group and it is intended with the permission of the presenters to publish the proceedings.
