Head, Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences
Dr Skantha Kandiah joined the University of Southampton on the 1 of June 2022 as Head, Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences within the Department of Medical Education.
Before coming to Southampton he worked in Ireland, Bahrain, Malaysia and the Lincoln Medical School – Universities of Nottingham and Lincoln, where he was the Foundation Head of Anatomy.
He is a graduate of Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He also has an MSc degree in Anatomy as well as an M.B.A. in Health Services Management from the highly regarded Smurfit School of Business in University College Dublin, in Ireland. He has been instrumental in setting up several new medical schools in different parts of the world.
He teaches all areas of Gross Anatomy.
