Medical student wins 2012 Andrea Litva Essay Prize
Rosellen Roche (a medical student on the BM4 programme) received the 2012 Andrea Litva Essay Prize for achievement by a medical student in the social and behavioural sciences.
Entrants were asked to discuss how learning about social and/or behavioural science in medicine influenced their knowledge, understanding and development as a medical student.
The award is sponsored by the Behavioural and Social Sciences Teachers in Medicine (BeSST) network. Rosellen will be presenting a paper at the BeSST annual conference on 6 July 2012 in Cardiff entitled 'A new home, a pair of ruby slippers, and my little dog, too: trust and the rainbow of possibilities between social science and medicine'.
