MEDU welcomes Ben Chadwick

Dr Ben Chadwick, the deputy BM4 Programme Leader and co-ordinator of year two, has joined the Medical Education Development Unit.

Ben studied Medicine at Southampton and qualified as a doctor in 1998 after which he spent ten years training in the Wessex region before being appointed as a Consultant in Acute Medicine at Southampton General Hospital.

Since late 2008, Ben has enjoyed a teaching role with the University, and as well as his current duties he has an overview of assessments in the programme, particularly the OSCE examinations.

Ben spends most of his clinical time on the Acute Medicine Unit at Southampton and also acts as the Training Programme Director for Acute Medicine specialist training in the Wessex Deanery.
