Dr Siobhan Lynch

A slightly belated welcome to Siobhán Lynch who joined MEDU over the summer in this new role to lead the development and delivery of PPD teaching across the Bachelor of Medicine programmes.

Siobhán is a psychologist with a particular interest in the intersection between student well-being, learning and teaching, technology and mindfulness. Her doctoral work focused on developing a mindfulness programme for university students.

Before coming to Southampton Siobhán ran a special study unit in psychiatry research at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. She also has broader educational research interests, such as the student experience, the use of feedback as dialogue, technology enhanced learning, professionalism in medical education and the teaching-research nexus.
