Published: 16 February 2015

Marcus Parry becomes the latest FAcadMEd in the Medical Education Development Unit.

The Academy of Medical Educators is the professional organisation for all those involved in medical education – the education and training of students and practitioners in medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.

In their notification of the award, the assessors of the Academy noted: “Mr Parry has had an interesting educational journey, having initially graduated with a BSc in Physics and Electronics and then worked as a Training Manager at the BBC, following which he re-trained as a teacher, completed an MA in Creative Writing, and then moved into the field of Medical Education. He was awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award in 2009.”

Marcus joins Professor Chris Stephens, Professor Faith Hill and Dr Louise Dubras who are the other Fellows in MEDU.
