Many congratulations to Dr Norman Carr who has been awarded Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Educators, the professional organisation for those involved the education and training of students and practitioners in medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.

Norman joins a growing number of colleagues in MEDU who have successfully applied for Fellowship. In the feedback that accompanied the notification of the award, it was noted that ‘…this was a very strong application that clearly demonstrated achieving the required standards for the award of fellowship of the academy.”

Established in 2006, the Academy of Medical Educators has a rigorous application process and offers a number of different levels of membership. Applicants for Fellowship can choose to demonstrate either achievement in all five domains of the Academy’s Professional Standards or substantial achievement in a single domain.
