The Role of Instagram in Education

As noted in our 8 April article, the use of social media as a means to support students in medical education, has been the focus of a number of authors in recent years. Here we take a look at the role of one such social media mainstay, Instagram.

Instagram is considered one of the 'big three' social media sites alongside Facebook and Twitter. As a predominantly photo sharing platform, it is particularly conducive to supplementing anatomy education, due to it being such as visual subject.
