Soton Brain Hub team awarded runner up prize at International Learning Technology Awards 2020
The Soton Brain Hub team, comprised of academic staff, students and clinicians have received international recognition for the development of their COVID-19 learning resources that have supported students learning during the pandemic.
The team were praised for their working practice, pedagogic approaches and the openness of their content streams.
Intercalating medical student, Charlie Taylor had this to say about receiving the award on the team’s behalf:
“The co-created technology enhanced learning resources, created by the SBH team have grown and developed greatly over the past years and to receive international recognition for this is fantastic. It was an absolute privilege to be able to represent Soton Brain Hub at the Association for Learning Technology 2020 awards ceremony.”
A dedicated team of students, staff and alumni of the University of Southampton, enthusiastic about all areas of neuroscience, neurosurgery and neurology run Soton Brain Hub. The YouTube channel, was created in 2014 and features a new video each month, covering various aspects of brain structure, function and disorders. It has amassed over 2 million views and more than 23,000 subscribers. Alongside the continuous development of Soton Brain Hub, the team also run the National Undergraduate Neuroanatomy Competition.
