On this page you will find information about our general courses for academic and clinical educators who teach Southampton undergraduate medical students, including course aims, dates and venues. If you are a GP, you might also be interested in the Primary Care courses .
Please note, submitting an application does not guarantee a place on a course. Our courses are usually oversubscribed and places will be allocated after short listing has taken place. We will then contact you to let you know whether or not you have been allocated a place. Please see Terms and Conditions . Additionally, some courses are designed for specific staff groups – please see the “Who can apply?” section on the course pages.

All of our in-house courses carry CPD accreditation from the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
The General Medical Council (GMC) requires that we keep information about our Southampton undergraduate medical student teachers and assessors. By applying to utilise our training resources, and/or as someone undertaking the GMC recognition process, you understand that you fall within one of these groups. Therefore, we are required to keep records of certain elements of your data and any training that you undertake with us to meet our statutory obligation to the GMC.
