Dr Emily Donovan is an Academic Clinical Fellow at the University of Southampton.

Emily is interested in qualitative research. 

After completing a degree in Social Anthropology Emily worked in West Africa in an HIV/AIDS clinic, leading her to then study medicine. She is passionate about tackling antimicrobial resistance and has completed a systematic review looking at digital interventions as a tool to improve parental health care seeking behaviour, and helped with a qualitative synthesis on views of complementary therapy for acute respiratory tract infections.

Emily is interested in female doctor’s experiences of domestic abuse, and is waiting for ethics approval to embark on a qualitative study in this area. Emily has completed a post graduate certificate in research.
