Geoff joined SHTAC in August 2006 and works as a Senior Research Fellow.
It’s great to work on a wide variety of topics in a team with diverse skills and experience, helping to improve evidence-based decision making
Geoff is experienced in primary research (designing and running environmental research studies) and secondary research (designing and conducting systematic maps, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses). He is particularly interested in how to improve the methods and communication of evidence synthesis to increase the efficiency, validity and credibility of scientific research.
Geoff has project-managed a wide range of systematic reviews on diverse health topics including educational and behavioural interventions for diabetes and weight loss; methods for preventing different types of infections; therapies for a range of systemic diseases and cancers; and tests for detecting pregnancy complications and for diagnosing eye diseases.
