Dr. Karen O’Reilly is a Primary Clinical Teaching Fellow within Medicine at the University of Southampton.

She is responsible for Primary Medical Care modules in BM4 year 1 and year 2 semester 1 and the PMC placement in final year. She is also the Deputy Final Year Lead

 

 

After graduating from St Marys’ Hospital Medical School in London in 1984, Karen completed her GP training in 1991 in Hampshire and has worked locally as a salaried and principal GP and is currently a part time partner at Bishops Waltham Surgery. She has been involved with Medical Education for many years both as a GP trainer, VTS Programme Director and RCGP CSA Examiner. She became involved in undergraduate education in 2015 initially as a BM4 GP teacher and since March 2016 as a Clinical Teaching Fellow. She is an active member of the Wessex Faculty RCGP and has Foundation membership of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
