The conference will focus on partnerships between academia and industry. The main topics will be employability and research collaborations. The emphasis is on Biomedical, Engineering, Science and Technology research for human health. It is aimed at students, postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers, academics and industry.
The Health Pharma University Industry Strategy Team (UIST), established in 2012 is dedicated to maximizing productive mutual engagement with companies in the Healthcare and Pharma sectors, and associated regional healthcare delivery organizations.
In partnership with the University Hospital Trust, the UIST has embarked on a coordinated approach to university relationships with current and potential partners, initially focusing on business development, graduate recruitment and research collaboration.
UIST propose that key to addressing societal healthcare challenges will be collaborative and more open approaches in partnership with Pharma/Business and Health delivery organisations to deliver innovative research and education and thus the clinical delivery of wellbeing for every patient.
