I was always very interested in medicine and loved the idea of working very closely with people. After High School, I went on to study biology and knew that I wanted to pursue my desire to work in a medical field.

Studying in Southampton has helped me become very open minded and self-independent. I am so glad that I had the chance to have this great educational experience.

I loved the idea of studying in English and the BM(EU) at Southampton focused on practical training and communication skills early on, which was really appealing to me as German universities have a greater focus on theoretical knowledge. I definitely believe that being able to see patients early on will be very beneficial for my future career.
The BM(EU)
is a wonderful course, with excellent teaching and a great focus on social and practical skills. Studying in Southampton has also been an excellent experience. The facilities are fantastic – I especially liked all the societies and sports facilities. There were always great activities on campus.

Studying abroad can be quite daunting but meeting so many new people and forming friendships that will last a lifetime really helped. I also really enjoyed exploring other cities in the UK or escaping to the seaside which was so close by.

Graduating from the University of Southampton has offered me the opportunity to work in an English-speaking culture and explore the English health care system. We have had a lot of support from our tutors over the past five years that has been invaluable. Studying in Southampton has helped me become very open minded and self-independent. I am so glad that I had the chance to have this great educational experience.
