Leading health policy-makers grilled at University Question Time

Students and the public had a chance to question key policy-makers and commentators on a variety of health issues at the University of Southampton’s ‘Question Time’ event on 10 March.
The panel included:
- Dr Shree Data (Chair of the Junior Doctor's Committee, British Medical Association)
- Sandra Gidley MP, (Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson)
- Andrew Lansley CBE MP (Conservative Shadow Secretary of State for Health)
- Sir Bernard Ribeiro (former President of the Royal College of Surgeons)
- Dr Martin Scurr (Daily Mail journalist and GP)
The event was chaired by Michael Pope, Medical Students' Representative for the BMA.
‘Question Time' was organised by medical students of the University of Southampton's BMA Intra School Committee and is sponsored by the British Medical Association (BMA), the Medical Defence Union (MDU) and the Medical Protection Society.
The event took place at the Students' Union Cinema at the University of Southampton's Highfield campus.
