Applications for The Widening Access to Medicine Summer School 2012
The Faculty of Medicine are now accepting applications to our very popular Widening Access to Medicine Summer School 2012.
This an opportunity for Sixth Form/Further Education students who are suitable and interested in applying for the BM6 course at Southampton to attend a summer school organised by the Faculty of Medicine, and held at Southampton General Hospital.
The programme of information and activities aims to give students an insight into the role of doctors and the training they undergo. This will include: talking to doctors and medical students, exploring a case history, practising medical skills, receiving information on the medical curriculum and advice on the applications process.
It should be a worthwhile and enjoyable event where students will learn a lot about medicine as a career and meet others who are interested in a career in medicine.
