Medicine ranked top 10 in the Guardian University Guide 2017

The Faculty of Medicine is celebrating its position in the top 10 of the Guardian University Guide 2017. With an increase of 11 places Southampton is now ranked 9th out of all universities who feature in the guide for medicine.

The University of Southampton has consolidated its position amongst the UK’s top 20 universities by placing joint 16th overall in the 2017 Guide. Amongst Russell Group institutions that feature in the Guide, Southampton is ranked joint 10th.

The news is also good in a number of other subject areas where Southampton scores a top 10 place including Art (8th); Civil Engineering (2nd); Computer Science & Information Systems (10th); Education (4th); Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1st); Fashion & Textiles (8th); Health Professions (8th); Media & Film Studies (4th); Mechanical Engineering (8th); Modern Language & Linguistics (4th); Music (10th); Philosophy (8th); Psychology (9th); and Physics (4th).
