The Nuffield Theatre and Turner Sims Concert Hall will provide the venues for the three ceremonies on Friday 20thJuly. William, who completed the BMBS and MMedSc courses, said: “I feel very proud to have studied at Southampton – it has given me the skill base and knowledge to be a junior doctor and further grow and develop as a person and professional from this point onwards.”

It will be the last graduation event that Professor Iain Cameron will attend as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. He said: “I am very proud of the students who are graduating today and of all the students who have graduated during my time as Dean.

Graduation acknowledges significant achievement and is the culmination of a great deal of hard work and dedication by both students and their teachers. It is one of the highlights of the academic year and provides the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of each cohort of graduates with family and friends.  I congratulate all of our new graduates and wish them every success for the future.”

Around 7,500 students will graduate from the University of Southampton over the next week and a number ofhonorary degrees will be presented to leading figures in the fields of computing science, public health and social care, engineered and biological materials, polar exploration and research, and nuclear physics.
