Dominic is a postgraduate student within Medicine at the University of Southampton interested in Chronic kidney disease.

Dominic trained in medicine at the University of Leeds and is now training in Nephrology (kidney medicine) in Bristol. He is interested in chronic kidney disease, transplantation and the clinical management of pregnancy in chronic kidney disease. He has taken time out from consultant training to take part in research as part of the NIHR-funded ATTOM study, and to study for an MD in Primary care and Population sciences.

Research interests

The ATTOM study examines the process of kidney transplant allocation in the UK. Dominic’s work focusses on Health Literacy- individuals’ ability to obtain, understand and use health information to improve their health. The work uses quantitative data to examine the relationship between health literacy, socioeconomic factors and patient outcomes among those receiving dialysis or with a kidney transplant.
