Our interdisciplinary links across the University of Southampton, the NHS and industry have enabled us to push the boundaries of medical research addressing key questions in medicine and healthcare. For more than 30 years, Professor Cyrus Cooper has led an internationally competitive research programme into the epidemiology of musculoskeletal disorders, most notably osteoporosis.
Sally Ward is an internationally renowned Professor of Molecular Immunology, and Director of Translational Immunology at the University’s Centre for Cancer Immunology.
Like many of the Faculty’s scientific research staff, Mike Grocott, Professor of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, also works clinically as a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at University Hospital.
