Our Clinical Academic Trainees have access to a number of different schemes to help support their academic development.
NIHR funded Academic Clinical Fellows (ACFs) and Clinical Lecturers within the Faculty of Medicine are able to access a travel bursary. This can be utilised to fund travel and attendance at conferences or similar events associated with their academic development.
NIHR funded ACFs and Clinical Lecturers can apply for funding to attend training courses to assist their academic development. Applications are assessed on a case by case basis.
ACFs can apply to the Faculty's Research Management Committee for funds to support their research project. Funding for items such as laboratory consumables, small pieces of equipment and stationary costs is available.
Current trainees can find out more on each of these funding opportunities on the Faculty's SharePoint site .
