Each year, Medicine welcomes up to 6 students from the International Medical University (IMU) in Malaysia who have successfully attained the Advanced Diploma in Medical Sciences, and two students from the University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD who have attained the Bachelor of Health Science. These students enter BM International Transfer programme, a 3 year degree and after completing a 12 week module ‘Introduction to Clinical Medicine in Southampton’ follow the same curriculum as the BM5 programme for the remainder of year 3, year 4 and year 5.
