I first became aware of microvesicles whilst completing my masters research project, where I studied the expression of microvesicles (MVs) tissue factor (TF) in 17 cancer cell lines. The main objective of the project was to study the expression of TF and its association with the development of thromboembolism in cancer using a variety of seventeen cancer cell lines.
