Emma is currently a 3rd year undergraduate studying for an MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Biomedical. She has a strong interest in the application of engineering to push the boundaries of medical technology and has now joined the Micro and Nano Therapies group for her Individual Project.  She is focusing on the development of a working model of the ureter to be used to test the deployment and performance of urological devices. Prior to university, Emma gained a year of experience working at the Composites division of Cobham plc (now Meggitt) where she gained valuable insight into the use of new materials in a range of engineering challenges.
