The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into managable tasks, and then starting on the first one. "Mark Twain"

Ali is a highly motivated scientist, with a proven record of excellent project and time management skills. He has got a broad background in design, fabrication and characterisation of micro/nano-fluidic devices and working on his PhD project under the supervision of Dr Dario Carugo as his main supervisor. He always developes a strong multi-disciplinary attitudes and the capability of working in teams with heterogeneous expertise. He has-worked/is-looking closely with scientists from different disciplines, including chemists, physicists, biologists, medical doctors, biotechnologists, and engineers and he is always, enthusiastically, looking into new collaboration opportunities.

Research interests

Ali is using his expertise in microfluidic in investigating different theraputical and sensing devices.

Primary Project:

  • Understanding the Mechanism of Encrustation in Ureteric Stent

Side Projects:

  • Drug Delivery using Microfluidics
  • Screening Platforms
