Ms Fátima Candé MA, BA
Teaching Fellow in Portuguese Language

Fátima graduated in Modern Languages and Literatures (Portuguese and French with teaching components), at the University of Aveiro. After her graduation, she worked in Education as a teacher of Portuguese and French language and culture in Secondary Schools and Adult Education in Portugal and in Teacher Training programmes in Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau, through projects of cooperation in the education field between Portugal and those two countries.
Fátima completed a two-year MA programme in Portuguese Teaching as a Second and Foreign Languages at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal, passing her Viva exam in July 2008.
Fátima has been working in the Higher Education in the UK since January 2010. She worked as a language coordinator at the University of Birmingham - department of Modern Languages for over five years before joining the department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Southampton as a Teaching Fellow of Portuguese, in 2016.
Fátima has been teaching language and culture in a variety of contexts since September 1999
