Published: 8 February 2016

The festival was organised by students of the University and celebrated the cultural diversity of the University and the city of Southampton. It provided opportunities to experience different traditions and a variety of performances, engaging with intercultural exchange through a range of art activities, dance workshops, cookery demonstrations and other events.

It was organised as part of the Intercultural Connections Southampton Project run by the Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies with the aim of encouraging intercultural awareness and strengthening international links throughout the city.

The Festival involved staff and students from around the University and attracted over 320 people of all ages.
