HOWEVER, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE WAITING LIST IS VERY LONG*** These events provide year 8 able linguists, selected by their school from the most able pupils, with a chance to further develop their language skills. In the morning, there is an intensive mini-project in French, German or Spanish, led by our university's trainee language teachers. In the afternoon, the programme will allow all pupils to try a new language by attending a taster in a new language such as Portuguese, Chinese or Italian, hence developing awareness and raising interest in expanding their love for learning languages.

Notes:

There is a strict limit of 10 students from each school for this event, due to the popularity.
Lunch is not provided for students on the day.
Attendance at the whole day is expected.
Bookings are only confirmed once you receive the confirmation email.
Nearer the time of the event we will get in touch again to check final numbers and names. A final programme, risk assessment and parking permit will be emailed to teachers approximately one month before the event.
Where schools may have some native speakers of French, Spanish and/or German that wish to attend, we would ask you to carefully consider if the day will be of benefit to them.
