Ebtisam Arishi is a Postgraduate research student within Modern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Southampton.

I have been studying English for 13 years, starting from the community college in 2007 until now being a Phd student in the university of Southampton. I received my bachelor degree in English with first class honour in 2013. After graduation, I was hired to be a teaching assistant in Jazan university, KSA. I completed my MA in the United States majoring in TESL. I am very interested in Teaching and learning English, particularly, the mental process of learning a second language.

I have been working in Jazan univerity as an English lecturer since 2017. I have taught different courses to different levels such as Vocabulary building, grammar, Translation, Phonetics, and Phonology. I have also held different positions in the academic area as :


Research interests

Future mental images of second language learners and learners' possible selves.
