Master Teacher, Hub Leader, Secondary School Teacher (11-16), Teacher Trainer, and IT Professional.

My 10 years with CAS has given me the privilege to work with some of the best in the field and this has helped improve my pedagogical content knowledge, enabled me to learn and share good practice and kept me up to date with the cutting edge of computing education research.

Tig has 15 years’ experience in computing teaching, including 4 years as Head of Department in a Hampshire school. His industrial background gives him the ability to add context in the classroom through  real world examples. His work as a GCSE examiner and for the Computing at School (CAS) assessment working group provides insight into assessment and student attainment which is imbued in the sessions he leads. Tig has an enthusiasm for connecting people and sharing creative classroom practice. He has a wealth of experience in mentoring including trainees from PGCE, GTP and SD programmes and is sensitive to the hurdles that new teachers face, enabling him to provide bespoke support.
