Event details

This course will give you an insight into how basic electronics circuits work, and will cover the use of test equipment, including the oscilloscope, signal generator and multimeter. The emphasis will be on the practical, though appropriate theory will also be covered. Course led by Louise Godwin, Electronics Technician, Engineering and Physical Sciences. This course is for University of Southampton staff only.

Target Audience 

This course is recommended for University of Southampton Technical Staff who wish to learn basic practical electronics, including the use of basic test equipment.

  • How sensors work
  • Single-board microcontrollers
  • How to use common laboratory instruments
